Since the new Robinsons Orchard opened its door in Nov 2013, I had been to the place twice. The first time I was there for more that 1.5 hrs but less than 2 hrs, I incurred a parking fee of more than S$8 (can't remember the cents, I think it should be S$0.56 GST). The rates are S$2 per half hour from 8am - 11pm daily.
Today was my second visit. Though I didn't park inside the car park, I managed to find out the car park redemption policy for Robinsons. For purchases in Robinsons of S$200 (in one single receipt, no combination of receipts allowed), 1 hour free parking (a complimentary parking ticket will be issued at the cashier's to be used within the same day). 2 hours free parking for purchases of S$400 (in a single receipt) made in Robinsons.
Take note that no combination of receipts is allowed. So if you make 2 separate payments of S$200 each, you will only receive 1 hour free parking. This is what happened to a lady customer today when she made 2 separate payments in order to utilize the two S$20 Robinsons Voucher (issued for every S$200 purchase in a single receipt and can instantly offset but only one voucher against one receipt) and was surprised to learn that no combination of receipts allowed to claim the free 2 hours parking.
So, next time, better double confirm with the customer service/concierge whether can or cannot combine receipts before making payments. However, I feel that Robinsons Orchard has too much restrictions in terms of voucher usage as well as car park redemption.
